We've got three new Live Classes coming your way, AND we've made hundreds of hours of SoundChannel trainings available for free so you can continue learning from home.
We can't do this without you, so please make a donation if you can.
See you online!

Big thanks to Billboard for featuring us in their recent article: "WAM's online programming is part of a recent explosion of virtual music education resources from both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors, in response to nationwide school closings and stay-at-home orders amid the coronavirus pandemic...Educators like Winston are taking advantage of the virtual shift to serve more students than they could ever accommodate in the traditional classroom setting."
WAM is excited to welcome Leah King to the team as our new Director of Education!
Leah King is an arts educator, music producer, and Oakland native who specializes in Culturally Responsive Education, Socio-Emotional Learning, Trauma-Informed Care, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for youth and adults. Before joining WAM, Leah worked at the NYC Department of Education, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Center for Anti-Violence Education, and volunteered with Girls Rock Camp for over a decade.
Leah will oversee the Girls on the Mic Program and the expansion of youth classes and resources for WAM Everywhere.
While all Bay Area students are sheltered in place, Girls on the Mic instructors will offer daily online classes in beatmaking, synths, podcasting, and more starting next week!
Email Leah with questions, or if you know a young person who would like to sign up.
